you currently have an electric cylinder with no boiler
solaressence® do offer a bespoke solar solution tailored especially for homes which are electric only, our ‘E’ electric range of solar hot water systems. Homes that have electric only hot water cylinders will not have any wet radiator system, and no boiler. Your heating will come from either electric wall heaters or maybe a gas warm air system.
Innovative solutions
Our dual solar heating system is not compatible with electric cylinders because the home does not have any wet radiators. We do however have many customers who have opted to install a new boiler and wet radiator system in their home. We would recommend a model from our remeha condensing range of boilers. This would mean that you now could also have a dual system installed.
Another option if you wanted to change to a new heat source would be to install an air source heat pump. By doing this you would not need any boiler at all and would not need to change to gas & oil. Again our dual solar heating system is fully compatible with with our range of air source heat pumps.
By installing a new boiler or air source heat pump you could also opt for a solaressence® ecomaster® that reduces your heating energy consumption at the same time. This is totally compatible with all boilers and increases any potential savings.
So to recap without installing a new boiler and wet radiators your option is a hot water solar system.
Or to install a new condensing, system boiler or air source heat pump and have a solaressence® dual solar heating system installed.
